Our Story
Merm's Treasure Chest wasn’t created because I had spare time on my hands. I started it because I had to learn — the hard way — how to slow my body and mind down enough to actually be present in my own life.
That's not a skill most of us are ever taught. Not at home, not at school, not in community. We're raised to produce, to push through, to measure worth by output. But a nervous system that never learns how to downshift from fight-or-flight into calm, focused presence isn't built for connection — and connection is what actually holds families and communities together.
Merm's Treasure Chest exists to give people that skill back, disguised as something joyful: building a keepsake box, by hand, with the people who matter to you. Every sticker, stone, charm, or memento you choose to add becomes a small act of presence — a decision to slow down and preserve a memory on purpose, instead of letting it blur past.
Our goal isn't just to run workshops. It's to help as many people as possible remember how to be still, be together, and hold onto what matters — one box, one memory, one family at a time.
